What a cup of coffee can carry
Every sale at Mosaic Market moves along a short, visible path: to the maker who was paid fairly, to a woman in a safe job, and to the care and prevention work of Rise Foundation Asia. This page shows how that path works.

Freedom businesses, explained
A freedom business is a company built to create safe, dignified work for people leaving exploitation or at risk of it. It sells real products at real prices, and it measures success by the lives that steady work makes possible.
Rise Foundation Asia runs three: Mosaic Market, Mosaic Brew and Thrive Ethical Fashion. Alongside them, the shop stocks partner brands that share the same purpose, so even the goods we did not make ourselves send money back to the communities that need it most.
A purchase
Coffee at the café, beans to take home, a Thrive tote, a gift from a partner brand.
A fair price
Makers and partner enterprises are paid fairly for what they bring to the shelf.
A safe job
Our own businesses employ and train women in structured, trauma-informed workplaces.
Ongoing care
Proceeds support The Whispering Willow, prevention programmes and awareness work.
Thrive Ethical FashionThrive: training, mentorship and a steady wage
Thrive employs women from vulnerable and exploited backgrounds in a fair-wage workshop in Chiang Mai. Each woman receives hands-on training in production, sales and design, along with life skills, mentorship and a supportive community.
The short-term goal is simple: safe, stable income and growing confidence. The long-term goal is financial independence, new skills that travel, and women stepping into roles as trainers and leaders in ethical fashion.
The realities behind the mission
Mosaic Brew proceeds support mental health awareness and suicide prevention education across Asia. In Thailand, the Department of Mental Health hotline, 1323, is free and open 24 hours a day.
The Whispering Willow
A trauma-sensitive support space where survivors can be heard, recover and plan what comes next, shaped by trust and by each person’s own pace.
Partner makers across the region
Hill tribe weavers, displaced artisans, skincare makers working with Karen communities, and social enterprises supporting women who have experienced exploitation. Each one is named in our directory.
